Samantha Cheshire, Naomi Parker, David Whynot, Delaney Whynot, and Drake Yarian are not your typical authors. For one thing, they were 5th and 6th graders when they wrote a very touching book detailing their experiences about their moms having cancer. The book has had a wide audience, and can be purchased for gift giving or for your own reading. Reeths-Puffer school counsellor Kelley Peel spoke with us after the Van Andel Institute Ribbon Cutting. The kids were at another table, having been up on the podium with the famous dignitaries at the event. Kelley shared with us what admiration and respect she had for this group of children. While dealing with sad and tragic circumstances, she stressed that the overall message is one of hope.
